Winter tale: frosty patterns, bright robins on the branches and a reindeer, became the background for the main character - the Snegurochka. The Snegurochka (or Snow Maiden in official translations of, for example, N. Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The Snow Maiden") is a girl who was made out of snow. And the Snegurochka in more modern Russian traditions is the granddaughter of Father Frost, who accompanies him at all the New Year and Christmas celebrations.
